Allison Brooks Janney is an American actress who was born on the 19th of November, 1959. Her performance on screen and the stage have garnered praise throughout her entire three-decade career. Janney was the winner of several awards. The most notable are an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award and several others. The actress also won Seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Additionally, she was in the running for 2 Tony Awards. Janney was born in Boston and grew up within Dayton (Ohio). The award was for a learn in The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art when she completed her studies at Kenyon College. Janney was first seen on television in 1999, playing C. J. Cregg in the role of C. J. Cregg on NBC's political drama The West Wing (1999 to 2006.) which won her 4 Primetime Emmy Awards. Janney got her Primetime Emmy Award in 2014 for Outstanding Actresses in Drama Series. She was awarded this award due to her character Margaret Scully in Showtime's drama Masters of Sex. Janney has been nominated for the prestigious six Primetime Emmy Awards, and she won twice the Outstanding Supporting Actress in Comedy Series.
