Paul Wesley (aka Pawel Tomasz Wesley) is an award-winning actor producer and film director, is best known for his work on the television show The Vampire Diaries. For his role in the television series, he's received numerous nominations and awards such as those of the Teen Choice Awards as well as the Young Hollywood Awards. Wesley was born within New Brunswick New Jersey, United States. During his high school years he showed an interest for acting. He then enrolled in Rutgers University. However, after realizing that he was gifted as an actress and the possibility of making an income from his incredible acting abilities the school was closed.
